Ashe County Woman Honored As State's Top Teacher

CARY — North Carolina education leaders gathered together Tuesday to recognize the state's top teacher.
Carmen Wilson from Ashe County was named Teacher of the Year. She is a mathematics teacher at Ashe County High School.
She was among six other finalists around the state.
Wilson gets a plaque and a brand-new car. She will also compete on the national level.
