Cingular plans to spend $210 million in North Carolina, compared to $161 million in 2005, and another $175 million in South Carolina, compared to $150 million a year ago.
Nearly 200 new cell sites will be added in North Carolina alone. Another 148 will be added in South Carolina.

"This network investment will enable us to continue to bring residents of North Carolina the highest quality service available - service that is enhanced by best-in-industry calling plan value and cutting-edge devices."
