WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — A Wayne County man has been charged with first-degree sex offense and taking indecent liberties with a child.
Authorities arrested 61-year-old James Albert Selvidge after the investigation of a sexual assault involving a 7-year-old child. During the investigation, authorities found another child who was also a victim.
Investigators said the incidents took place over several years at Selvidge's residence, Gaston Lake and a pond area. Authorities also found that the victims are also related to the suspect.
