Cary Teen Arrested After High-Speed Chase

CARY, N.C. — A Cary teenager led deputies overnight on a high-speed chase.
Wake County deputies said the 16-year-old ran a red light on Highway 70. When a deputy tried to stop him, the teen drove off.
During the chase, speeds topped 90 miles per hour. The teenager's vehicle hit street signs and took out part of a fence before stopping in a front yard.
The teen faces a list of charges, including careless and reckless driving and fleeing an officer.
