Take An Outdoor Approach To Watching Movies

Posted April 22, 2001 3:41 a.m. EDT

— Going out to the movies does not have to wipe out your wallet anymore.

The Lumina outdoor movie theater just opened in Chapel Hill. You can catch second-run films like The Cider House Rules and it will only cost you $3.

"I think it's awesome. It's awesome. The inside movies can be boring, but out here, you can watch a movie and stare at the stars," says moviegoer Adam Stiffler.

The outdoor films are shown every Friday and Saturday night at 8:15. The Lumina is located on Market Street in Chapel Hill's Southern Village.
