Wilson County Library Reopens

Posted Updated

WILSON — Four months of waiting are finally over for bookworms in Wilson. The county's main public library reopened Friday for the first time since September.

The old building along Nash Street was shut down after crews found asbestos in the attic. The asbestos has been removed and avid readers are glad to be back.

The cleanup is expected to cost around $100,000.

The library will close at 6 p.m. Friday for the holidays and reopen Wednesday.
