FORT BRAGG — Getting thousands of soldiers to cast absentee ballots was no problem at Fort Bragg.

Pat Long helps to walk soldiers through the process. She says she distributed more than 100,000 applications since March, and soldiers were faxing in their votes up until the very last minute.

"There were a lot. This makes my second time operating the national election for voting assistance here at Fort Bragg," Long says. "I feel this was twice the number of voting at this time."

About 150 soldiers on post received training on voting assistance.
