<b>JOHNSTON COUNTY</b> — A garner man was killed in a crash along Interstate 95 Monday morning.

A pick-up truck and tractor-trailer collided on a northbound lane just south of Smithfield and the Neuse River bridge.

The victim, identified as George Preziosi, 28, was the driver of the pick-up truck.

The Highway Patrol says Preziosi's truck broke down at the  bridge, and he was either walking for help or trying to flag down an approaching tractor-trailer when he was struck.

No charges will be filed against the driver of the tractor-trailer.
