Sampson County Search Scaled Back

ROSEBORO — Five days after disappearing, there are no leads in the case of a missing Sampson County boy.

The search for Triston "Buddy" Myers, 4, was scaled back Sunday night, but the investigation is still going strong.

Every investigator within the Sampson County Sheriff's Office, as well as the SBI are still on the case. They are busy checking on phone tips and following up on interviews.

Sheriff Buck McCullen says they are not giving up hope.

"You don't quit on something like this. You can't," he says. "You think about that four-year-old boy out there -- if he's still in woods, or if someone picked him up. We'll stick with it until we know something."

The family is offering a $1,000 reward and plan to hang fliers across the state.

TheNational Center for Missing and Exploited Childrenis sending the boy's picture to law enforcement agencies across the country.
