<b>HARNETT COUNTY</b> — Duchess the dalmatian, whose owners wereconvicted of animal cruelty, died Thursday.

She has been staying with a foster family since she was taken from her owners about six weeks ago.

Duchess' foot had rotted off, and she had a severe uterus infection and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.

An autopsy will be performed next week to determine the exact cause of death.
