Durham Leaders, Developers Want Ideas to Jump-start Mall

— The future of South Square Mall in Durham is up for public debate this weekend.

Many people feel South Square will close once the new Southpoint Mall opens just down the road.

City leaders and a development group want ideas about giving South Square a fresh start.

People can sound off at forums at the mall on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
