<b>ALAMANCE COUNTY</b> — Alamance County sheriff's deputies say one of their own was involved in an accident Friday evening.

The incident happened on Highway 54 in the western part of Orange County at 9:25 p.m. Deputies say he was transporting prisoners at the time of the wreck.

The Highway patrol says five people were injured. There are no life-threatening injuries.
