HOLLY SPRINGS — There were plenty of shakes being served at the Sonic drive-in Thursday night in Holly Springs, but no fountain drinks or water.
That's because residents of Holly Springs are under a "boil water" order. Leaders say tests show high levels of coliform bacteria in the town water supply.
Town officials say water should be boiled for five minutes before it is consumed. Officials are still searching for the source of contamination. For more information about the water problem, call 557-3926.
