Fire Destroys West Raleigh Home

RALEIGH, N.C. — More than 45 firefighters fought a two-alarm blaze in West Raleigh early Friday evening.
Officials said the fire started at a home in the
3000 block of Clark Avenue
around 6:40 p.m. Investigators believe the blaze started in an unoccupied front upstairs bedroom.
Officials said that four people lived in the house. One person was wheelchair-bound and was wheeled out of her house by a caregiver. There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
