<b>CARY</b> — A motorcyclist is dead after he crashed into a Cary police officer's car.

The incident happened just after 5 p.m. Thursday on East Chatham Street in Cary.

Troopers say 23-year-old Jonathan Lucas of Apex swerved to get around traffic and crashed head-on into the police cruiser. He was pronounced dead on arrival at WakeMed.
