Posted Updated

RALEIGH — Police are looking for an armed robber who they say shot a convenience store clerk earlier Thursday morning.

The robbery took place at the BP store at 6501 Glenwood Avenue around 2:30 a.m.

Police say a man walked in with a rifle and shot Scotty Ray Moss.

Moss, 33, was taken to WakeMed where he is listed in satisfactory condition.

The suspect got away with money.

Pictures from the store's surveillance camera show the suspect wearing a Boston Red Sox cap.

Authorities are talking with Moss to come up with a better description of the suspect.
