RALEIGH — More than a hundred bikers roared between Raleigh and Durham to honor a fallen friend.
Pete Hicks died Saturday night when his motorcycle hit a tree that had been cut and laid across Munn Road in south Granville County.
Tuesday, biker friends of Hicks gathered in Raleigh and rode together to a memorial service in Durham. They came to honor Hicks and offer support to his wife and six-year-old daughter.
"We, as a group, are here to support Denise and her family. More than anything, we need to concentrate on that and let the police concentrate on who did it," says friend Steve Small.
