CHAPEL HILL — After months of talking trash, Chapel Hill leaders have agreed to end backyard pickup.
In a 5 to 4 vote this week,the Town Councilapproved a switch from twice-a-week backyard pickup to a once-a-week curbside service.
Exceptions will be made for the elderly.
Residents say the move will take away one of Chapel Hill's remaining small town charms.
