Police in Rocky Mount say one man has died after a shootout near a basketball court Monday night. He was identified as Dwayne Crudup.

Authorities say four people were shot at Holly Street Park about 9:45 a.m. All were taken to Nash General Hospital.

Antwon Coleman of Battleboro was wounded by Crudup and was listed in critical condition at the hospital. The police said Coleman was a suspect but no charges had been filed.

Bystanders were injured by stray bullets. Jessie Myron Whitaker and Nathaniel Battle, both of Rocky Mount, were treated and released for minor injuries.

Police said the motive was an alleged domestic dispute involving one of the victim's girlfriends.
