CARY, N.C. — Cary police need your help to find vandals who have been targeting a road project.
Police say vandals struck near the High House Road widening project eight times in three months.
Three of the eight incidents occurred at the construction site of the Cornerstore Presbyterian Church near the widening project.
Authorities said the vandals spray-painted phrases like "Stop Killing", "Save Them", "Murderer", and "Man Will Not Realize Till He Cuts Down The Last Tree." on the equipment. In one case, glue was placed in the equipment's ignitions.
In each of the incidents, the crimes have been taking place in the late evenings into early mornings.
Cary police are offering a $2,500 reward.
