<b>KNIGHTDALE</b> — One man is dead following  an early morning accident in Knightdale.

Investigators say a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of U.S. 64 and Smithfield Road at about 5:15 Wednesday morning.

The 54-year-old driver of the pickup truck died at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family has been notified.

There is no word on whether charges will be filed
