GOLDSBORO — North Carolina's military personnel are almost always some of the first to go when there's trouble in the world, but Seymour-Johnson's Fourth Fighter Wing remains at home, for now, on high alert.
At Pope Air Force Base, it's business as usual, and a spokesperson for the 18th Airborne Corps at fort Bragg says no action has been taken on post as yet. WRAL-TV5 and WRAL OnLine will have ongoing updates on the status of action in the Middle East and on area military bases.
