Tarheel Students Getting Better S.A.T. Scores

North Carolina students are getting better at "making the grade", or at least at increasing their scores.
Nationally, Scholastic Aptitude Test scores are slightly higher than they were last year.
In North Carolina, the average score is up by six points, with Wake County showing one of the highest average scores at 1,039.
Durham is not far behind with an average of 981, followed by Johnston County with an average total score of 938
