Hootie and the Blowfish Raise Funds for Charity

Darius Rucker and company proved that they give a "hoot" about the Jimmy V Foundation.

Appearing Thursday night at the Walnut Creek Amphitheatre, Hootie and the Blowfish brought the paying public in, and donated part of the proceeds to the charity.

Band members will trade their guitars for golf clubs this weekend to participate in the Jimmy V Celebrity Classic golf tournament. Since they'll be in town anyway, they'll perform at Walnut Creek again tonight. As of noon Friday, there were still tickets available to that show
