Farmers Market Experiencing Growing Pains

Management of the North Carolina State Farmers Market has some growers upset as increasing numbers of growers compete with limited space.

Farmers voted to cut back to one space each for a few days in the primary produce building while additional space is being constructed, but some who have rented two spaces for years were unhappy with that outcome.

Market manager Charlie Edwards says they're trying to be fair and that they hope to have the situation smoothed out by Wednesday.

New construction will provide more than a dozen additional spaces and connect the two largest buildings
