It was a short school day for some students Monday, and with temperatures expected to rise to the 90-plus degree mark again, Tuesday will be another short day.
In Johnston County, Smithfield Selma High, Clayton High, Corinth Holder Elementary, Clayton Primary, Clayton Elementary and Clayton Cooper Elementary will all close Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.
In Wilson County, Springfield Middle, Vinson-Bynum Elementary and Speight Middle schools will close at 1 p.m.
Three schools in Caswell County will close at 1 p.m. Tuesday. They are Bartlett-Yancey High, Dillard Junior High and Stoney Creek Elementary.
All elementary schools in Person County and Warren County will close at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday
