In just four more years, the North Carolina House of Representatives would have made it through the entire twentieth century without a formal censure.
But Monday, just after the speaker gaveled in the 1996 short session, Rep. Ken Miller was reprimanded for inappropriate sexual comments and actions.
Miller, wearing a neck brace while recovering from an automobile accident, was wheeled in to the House Chamber by his wife and children.
He did not respond to the censuring, nor did he comment afterward
