Green Found Guilty Of Murder In Jordan Death

The jury has returned to the courtroom in Lumberton, North Carolina with a verdict of guilty for Daniel Green.

Green was found guilty of first-degree murder in the shooting death of James Jordan, father of basketball star Michael Jordan. Jordan's body was found in July, 1993

The jury returned with guilty verdicts on all counts against Green at about 2:30 Thursday afternoon. He is convicted of armed robbery and conspiracy to committ armed robbery in addition to the murder conviction.

WRAL-TV 5's Mark Roberts was present in the courtroom when the verdict was announced. He said Green stared straight at the clerk of court while the verdict was read, then shook his head, apparently in disbelief.

Green's mother broke into tears as the jury was polled, individually verifying the unanimous verdict.
