FAYETTEVILLE — Authorities have put two teenagers behind bars in connection with the slaying of a 67-year-old store owner.

Ben Miller, owner of Uncle Ben's Country Store, was robbed and shot to death on Friday. His store is just north of Fayetteville.

On Monday, Cumberland County sheriff's deputies arrested 17-year-old Robert Griffin (L) and 16-year-old Anthony Willis. They are charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Griffin and Willis are students at Pine Forest High School, which is just a few miles from the store. They also are members of the school orchestra. Uncle Ben's was a popular gathering spot for Pine Forest students.

The school principal described the two students as average students with good attendance records.

Deputies aren't saying much about the case, but say another arrest is expected
