Kats Defeat Cobras 60-28

RALEIGH — The Nashville Kats defeated the Carolina Cobras 60-28 in front of 13,951 Friday night at the Entertainment and Sports Arena.

Nashville Kats quarterback Andy Kelly connected with Cory Fleming for three touchdown passes. Kelly finished the night 21 of 31 for 244 yards with six touchdowns.

Cobras quarterback Carlos Garay finished the game 18 or 35 for 224 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions.

The Cobras suffered a major blow when Marlon Estes ruptured his Achilles tendon in the second quarter. He will be lost for the rest of the season.

The Cobras' next game will be against the Orlando Predators on Friday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the Orlando Arena.
