Duke Men's Lacrosse Team Heading to National Championship

BALTIMORE — The Duke Men's Lacrosse team is heading to the national championship. The team beat Cornell 12-11 Saturday in the national semi-finals.

Duke will take on Johns Hopkins on Monday.

Duke's Zack Greer scored his fourth goal of the game with three seconds left to propel Duke past Cornell and into the National Championship game for the second time in three years, according to GoDuke.com

Duke held a 10-3 advantage in the third period only to see Cornell go on an 8-1 run and tie the game at 11 with just 17 seconds remaining.

Duke's Terrence Molinari won the face off against John Glynn after Cornell tied the game with just 17 seconds remaining and got a lob pass to Greer about six seconds left.

Greer then got around his defender and got the ball past Matt McMonagle with just three seconds left on the clock for the game-winning goal.
