CARTHAGE, N.C. — Moore County deputies have charged a woman in connection with the death of her boyfriend.

Mary Grice told investigators that she had been unable to contact her 27-year-old son, Jonathan, since earlier in the week. Their investigation led them to arrest Jessica White, 24, of 305 Baker Road, in Cameron.

Deputies believe White killed Grice, wrapped his body in a sheet and dragged him to a trash pile behind the house. Investigators found White's body, along with charred furniture and clothes.

Autopsy results indicate Grice died from a gunshot wound to the head.

White is being held without bond in the Moore County Jail. She is charged with one count of murder, one count of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of felony conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
