FAYETTEVILLE — Fayetteville city leadershave approved a pay increase for police officers and firefighters.
Officers are slated to receive an 8 percent increase and a $500-1,500 bonus, depending on rank and experience.
Firefighters will get a similar raise.
City leaders say they have had a tough time coming up with the money without raising taxes.
