RALEIGH — A fire that broke out overnight in a dormitory at Meredith College has been brought under control.
The fire started in a laundry room on the third floor of Heilman Hall around 3:30 a.m. All damage was contained to that room.
The dorm was evacuated.
No one was hurt, and students were allowed to re-enter the dorm at 4:30 a.m.
The cause is under investigation, but it is believed to have been accidental.
