FAYETTEVILLE — A popular Cumberland County road that was damaged during hurricane season has reopened.
Manchester Road was closed when flooding from Hurricanes Floyd and Irene washed away a portion of it.
The culvert repair work was completed this week.
Gravel has been put down on the road with the final paving to take place in January.
The repairs allowed Pope Air Force Base to reopen its Manchester Gate.
