LILLINGTON, N.C. — Authorities say a woman was killed and two others were injured in an accident late Thursday night in Harnett County.

The accident occurred at around 11:15 p.m. on Buffalo Lakes Road west of Lillington.

According to state troopers, Taylor Kennedy was driving a Jeep Wrangler when the vehicle crossed the center line, hitting a Dodge Neon head-on. The Highway Patrol said Kennedy was the only person in her vehicle.

The driver of the Neon, Angelique Boyle, 22, of Cameron, died at the scene. Her passenger, Larry Pringle, was listed in good condition Friday evening at Central Carolina Hospital, a nursing supervisor said. Kennedy has a fractured left arm.

Charges are still pending, but troopers do not believe alcohol was a factor.
