Wake County to Accept Emergency Assistance Applications

WAKE COUNTY — Hurricane Floyd victims in Wake County can now get help with their recovery.

Starting Monday, the county will begin accepting applications for emergency assistance.

The relief fund is made up of private donations, and is intended for losses not covered by insurance.

Residents can sign up for assistance at two locations from Monday through Wednesday.

The Zebulon Council Chambers at 109 E. Horton St. will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Wake County Human Services at 220 Swinburne St. in Raleigh will be open Monday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m, and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.
