CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A car and a chicken truck collided and ended up crashing into a barn in northwest Chatham County
Authorities said that accident occurred at the intersection of Silk Hope-Liberty Road and Staley Snow Camp Road. A pickup truck driven by 82-year-old William Teague of Staley pulled out in front of a loaded chicken truck at the intersection.
Teague suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to UNC Hospitals. The driver of the chicken truck was not injured.
Charges are pending the completion of the investigation.
