Authorities Find Man Accused of Threatening Wife, Children

Cumberland County authorities have arrested a man who they deemed a danger to his estranged wife and their children.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County authorities have arrested a man who they deemed a danger to his estranged wife and their children.

Investigators said Albert Watson, 34, formerly of Elma Street, Spring Lake, was found by a Cumberland County sheriff's deputy on North Main Street. He has been charged with domestic violence, abuse and first-degree kidnapping.

In addition to the Cumberland County charges, Spring Lake police have charged Watson with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Watson is currently in the Cumberland County Jail on a $310,000 bond. He is expected to make his first court appearance Monday.
