Glenda Thompson was being dropped off from a church day care when she fell down trying to get out of the church van. The van backed up and knocked her down. The van then moved forward, running over her.
Anthony Thompson, Glenda's father, says her brother witnessed the event from the backyard.
"The way he says it is she was still alive, but he says the woman kept coming back, even though she should have heard my daughter scream," Thompson says.
The parents say they blame the van driver because they have had problems with her in the past not paying enough attention to what the kids were doing on the bus.
Glenda would have celebrated her third birthday this weekend. Fayetteville police are still investigating the incident.
