If the Tar Heels win, Chapel Hill police expect a crowd of 30,000 people to storm the streets for a post-game celebration.
Police plan to have 125 officers on duty to control the crowd.
Many stores plan to board windows. On Friday, fans spent their time stocking up on game necessities.
"If they win and go all the way to Monday night, it's going to be sheer pandemonium on Franklin Street," says UNC fan Salatheal Hasty.
Chapel Hill police are warning people that if they park on Franklin Street on Saturday, their car will be ticketed and towed.
