Cumberland County Man Arrested on Child Sex Charges
A Cumberland County man has been charged with sex crimes involving a child.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Cumberland County man was charged Tuesday with sex crimes involving a child.
Detectives from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ernest Stacy McLean, 56, of 3330 James Dail Road in Wade was arrested Tuesday and charged with two felony counts of first-degree rape of a child under the age of 13 and 27 felony counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.
Cumberland County investigators said three accusers have come forward with allegations of assault by McLean. Tuesday’s charges were in connection with the allegations of one of the accusers, authorities said.
Authorities said more charges are pending against McLean.
McLean is scheduled to make a first court appearance Wednesday morning in Cumberland County District Court. He was being held Tuesday afternoon under a $875,000 bond.
