Raleigh Could Get New Office Tower

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — There could soon be a new building on the Raleigh skyline.

Carolina Power and Light wants to build a 20-story, $10 million office building downtown.

It would be located at the southwest corner of Wilmington and Davie streets, currently the site of a parking lot.

CP&L would keep its other downtown office building.

The new tower would accommodate the growing needs of the Fortune 500 company.

The Raleigh City Council plans to vote on the proposal February 15.
