RALEIGH — A clerk with a quick draw stopped a would-be robber Friday evening.
Raleigh police raced to the scene of a holdup at the Royal Food Mart convenience store on Hillsborough Street around 8 p.m.
When they arrived, the suspected thief lay bleeding on the floor. He was shot in the head.
Raleigh police is not releasing much information about the shooting victim, other than that he is alive and at a local hospital.
The district attorney has yet to decide if charges will be filed. -->
