RALEIGH — It used to be that relaxing meant a simple bubble bath. Today, there are more stress-reducing products than you can imagine.Inner Selfhas many of them.
Denise Sacchetti is a stay-at-home mom who says she is busier now than when she worked outside the home.
She comes to Inner Self to get away from it all and to shop for herself.
The Inner Self is a new store atCrabtree Valley Mallthat is designed to be a stress-free haven for those who enter.
"It was important to us to create a buffer zone from the rest of the world," says Sue Nedved, the store's general manager.
In this buffer zone are all types of relaxing products from aromatherapy to soothing salts from the Dead Sea.
You can try many of Inner Self's creams and lotions in the store, and even treat yourself to a hand massage. But serenity does not always come in a jar.
Inner Self offers soft clothes, relaxing books and revitalizing vitamins and herbs.
"It's all about enjoying herself, remembering herself, and in her long list of priorities, remembering that she's on that list," Nedved says.
The store at Crabtree is the first of its kind in the country. A second store opens in Memphis, Tenn. later this week.
