Nash County Teacher Allegedly Drove To School Drunk

Posted Updated

NASH COUNTY, N.C. — A Nash County teacher is in trouble with the law.

State troopers arrested Vance Parrish, Jr. after he allegedly drove to school drunk. A trooper stopped him for speeding, smelled alcohol, and booked him.

School officials don't plan to fire Parrish, but want him to get counseling. Parrish teaches 5th-grade at Hubbard Elementary, where he won a "Teacher of the Year" award last year.
