CHAPEL HILL — UNC-Chapel Hill officials are not relying on state funds to finish the renovation of Memorial Hall.
School leaders are asking the the public to help raise $5 million to complete the project. The UNC construction bond package included $9 million for the renovation, but that did not cover the entire cost.
North Carolina native Andy Griffith is the honorary chairman of the fund-raising campaign.
