Reward Offered for Information in Animal Shelter Bombing

CHAPEL HILL — A Triangle animal protection group hopes cash will convince someone to come forward with information about a blast that killed five animals.

Sunday night, someone set off a makeshift bomb at the Animal Protection Society of Orange County.

More than $10,000 in damage was done to the facility.

Friday, the Wake County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals announced it is offering a $1,000 reward to help find whoever is responsible.

Anyone with information on the explosion is asked to call Chapel Hill police at968-2760.
