ROCKY MOUNT — An international fast food chain is saying thanks to eastern North Carolina.

Hardee'scelebrated its 40th birthday Thursday in Rocky Mount by selling food at 1961 prices. Customers packed into the restaurants to buy burgers for just 15 cents.

The Hardee's parent company is based in California, but there is still a strong loyalty in eastern North Carolina.
