Postage for Free?

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — There may be no free lunch, but there could be free postage stamps -- IF you are on the Internet and don't mind a little advertising, that is.

Postage4free.comwill send Internet surfers free, pre-stamped envelopes through its Web site.

The trade-off? Portions of the envelopes bear advertising messages and coupons, so when the envelope is used it spreads ad messages to others.

To try the offer, complete an online application that profiles some of your interests. In four to six weeks, 10 envelopes should arrive in the mail.

Only one person per household can be on record ordering the envelopes, but anyone can use them.

Reorders are allowed after three months.
